[Photography Challenge | Smiles] Smile, As You Are the Prettiest When You Do.

IMG_20231022_074200.jpg

Can you still smile despite the problems you are facing? To be honest, for me, smiling is not that hard to do, no matter how big the problem I'm facing. Why would I let my problems take away my smile? I mean, I can find a lot of reasons to smile, there's a hundred more reasons for me to do that than to frown and feel sad. And you know, my favorite reason of them all was seeing my family smile, just like this.

I remember when I took this photo of my mama. I can't help but smile because of how contagious her smile is. In fact, I laughed at that time because I could see how happy she was because of what happened that day. With her smile in here, all I could see was relief and happiness that, finally, one of her big problems was finally solved.

You see, this coconut tree here has been her longtime problem since her house was built. The roof of that house was only that iron roof. So every time some coconut fruits fall due to the hard wind, they will directly fall on her roof. Even in the middle of the night, when a coconut fruit falls, we can hear it inside our house. Sometimes, in one day, one or three coconuts will fall on the roof. Because of that, her roof started to have dents, and soon it left a lot of holes in it.

And because of those holes too, every day the rain gets inside too. I saw it with my own eyes, and it is like it is raining too inside her house because of how serious the damage is. I wish I could do something about it, but Mommy F won't badge it before, as she sees this old coconut tree as a great help for her, especially during flooding. And aside from that, this coconut tree was planted with her and her late partner before, so she doesn't want it to let go. You know, for memory sake.

I understand her, though, if we only have a choice, we won't let that tree be cut down. But alas, finally, Mommy F finally gave in to our cry. The reason she also agreed at that time was because of the upcoming typhoon at that time. The coconut tree is so high already that if ever it falls, it will reach our house, and she doesn't want that to happen. So, yes, she decided on it.

That problem was really a headache for her before. That's why, when Mommy F decided to cut it down, Mama felt relieved, as in, she sigh in happiness. And it shows in this picture, right (✿ ♡‿♡).

It is the smiling face of someone who's very happy. But you know, even if she has faced this problem before, she can still smile, as she too has a lot of reasons to smile. Just visiting her favorite YouTube channel and watching some random funny videos there is enough to make her smile, (≧▽≦).

Although I know that not everyone is like us, But I hope that you find a reason to smile even though the baggage you are carrying is too heavy already and even during your darkest day ⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾.

Smile, as you are the prettiest when you do.

Anyways, sharing this one selfie I took yesterday. I was carrying a ripe Papaya here, freshly picked from the tree. It is my Mama who picked it for us as she is the taller one, lol. But my Mommy F is the happiest when we harvest this papaya fruit because she loves papaya fruit ( ◜‿◝ )♡. And of course I am happy too because my oldies was happy (◍•ᴗ•◍). It shows right? Hehe.

And also, if gusto mo rin talaga mas pipiliin mong humanap ng ikakasaya mo than to overthink sa isang tabi and isipin ang mga problems ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ

We are all passersby, as we take this journey called life, miseries and happiness are entwined and there is always a reason for us to smile even if deep down inside it pained us.

You bet! Don't let the quagmire seep you down and don't let the nimbus cloud shroud you. Instead, let the rays of the daybreak shine on you and smile 😊 and let it spread to the people around you. 💕

Smiling in spite of problems can be a challenge. But it can be. It is not that we will jump for joy or we will not have bad days, it is just learning to live with those bad days so that the problems do not condition us. I like papaya 💟

Right, right (✿ ♡‿♡) just living with them and just getting used to it. Once you get used to it smiling will be easier then. Well, for me, not sure about the others ᕙ(͡°‿ ͡°)ᕗ

Ay sa wakas! sabi siguro ng mama mo hehe. She certainly looks very happy. And you too! Akin na lang yang papaya, pero nakain nyo na siguro, lol!

And true, we should always smile no matter what. It's one of the ways to lift up the spirit hehe.

The papaya seems much safer after reading that story. Well, we too have some coconut trees we are starting here, but we have tried to buy only dwarf varieties so the trees never get too tall and are easy to pick, less dangerous, etc. Finding dwarf coconut trees here is still not easy though because they aren't yet common.

Lovely smiles, thanks for sharing this with us. I understand your mother's love/hate relationship with that tree.

Oh yes, dwarf coconut tree. Actually, Mom said that this coconut is a dwarf, we're not sure why it grow longer like this. Or maybe mother got scammed or something.

And thank you with the ecency points (✯ᴗ✯)
