Method of cultivating Dhundal

Dhundul is a very wonderful vegetable! Even if you cook it a lot, it becomes a little bit soft after cooking. Dhundul curry is my favorite, and I always like to fry Dhundul with fish.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Sponse gourd: This vegetable is mainly cultivated for eating! I have also cultivated this vegetable with my own hands this time! Although my father-in-law cultivates it every time! But this time I thought of cultivating it with my own hands,,, so the thought is the work.

The scientific name of Dhundul is Luffa cylindrica and belongs to the family Cucurbitaceae. It is also called Chinal in our vernacular.
I usually see two generations of dhundul in our area! One is what we eat and the other is what we grow.

There is another wild fenugreek! Which grows naturally in the forest! Those fenugreek cannot be eaten, they are very bitter! Which we call tītpalla in our language.

To cultivate this Dhundul, you must select a high land. And that land should not have sufficient water accumulated all the time,,, it should be like this. And you must take care! The land on which you will cultivate this vegetable! There should not be any big trees around that land,,, This vegetable can be cultivated very easily in loamy and sandy soil.

And I have also chosen a similar place to grow these vegetables.

You will take seeds accordingly, depending on how many hundred square meters of your land you will plant this Dhundul tree.

It's good to say, you can plant 10 to 12 seeds per hundred! You can't plant more than that.

Now you need to make your land suitable for cultivating dhundul! You need to dig the land at least four to five times! The soil of the land needs to be thoroughly dried and completely crumbly.

Next, you need to build a platform in the ground with strong bamboo poles.

Be sure to keep in mind that the height of each loft should be at least two to three feet above the ground.

You need to soak the dhundul seeds well for one and a half to two days before sowing them! And plant three to four seeds per hole.

To get sufficient yield of dhundul,,, you must use that amount of fertilizer! You have to use fertilizer according to the percentage of land you will cultivate dhundul! You have to use organic fertilizer,,,, you have to use white fertilizer.

To protect these seeds from diseases and pests, you must sprinkle ashes on them. Or you must cover the seeds with mosquito netting. Then you can easily protect them from various types of insects.

To irrigate the land, you must pay close attention to the land. Depending on the soil, you will have to water the land. You must pay attention to ensure that excess water does not accumulate in the land.

You can save the produce from these trees within 40 to 45 days of planting the Dhundul tree. Keep one thing in mind while saving the produce. Try to save the young and green produce. Because if its skin becomes too hard, then it is no longer suitable for eating.

If you cultivate dhundul by paying attention to these things, you can easily get a good yield.

I have planted this Dhundul tree in a small area of my house, and I have taken a lot of care of this Dhundul tree, and I have got a very good harvest.

I am sharing with you some photographs of Dhundul flowers that we planted ourselves. I hope you like them.

I'm not writing anymore today! That's it for now! Everyone stay well and healthy; I wish you all the best,,, I will definitely appear among you again with a new topic,,, until then, may Allah protect you.
