Strolling around in the woods

Oi Hive!

It has been quite a while since I had the energy to do anything, well actually, I didn't have the energy to go take a stroll outside, but I instantly found the motivation when @Lackofcolor asked me to take pictures in the woods with her yesterday. She lured me straight into Vitamin D land and even got me to exercise a little. Which is good for both of us. Earlier today, I had a meeting with the doc. Stuff ain't right. But I will survive. I should make a lifestyle change starting this very moment if I want to make a change for the better. Well, that was an easy decision, actually one I already tried to make. I was given a lot of information, which was very nice, and sometimes a bit shocking at the same time. What have I done these last past few years? Is one of the bigger questions that come up more than a few times. Anyway, that just happened today... Just wanted to let some of you know that all is good, and I get checked again in 3 months.

So, yesterday! It was nice weather, the Sun was out and damn, I missed seeing that sphere along its burning-face skills. I decided to bring my Gradient ND filters that I got many years ago. They're poor quality, but I guess they do the work as long as you're prepared to do a lot of touchups during post-processing. It was nice, but it was getting chilly real fast, so the miss wanted to go home as she couldn't take it any longer... poor thing... taking an addicted photographer with her, waiting for the Sun to go down so he can photograph the Sunset. Yeh... I looked at her, and I thought to myself... she's not gonna make it until that long, so we should go home now. And of course, the Sun began to set 5 minutes later in a beautiful Sunset. You see, it's hard for me to not get irritated for not taking photographs of it when I was this close to taking a picture of it. It's one of the challenges that I have. We were out, we were walking, I could take photographs, and Dymph could take a chill relaxing moment with the Sun on her face.

This is what we call in Holland "Two flies in one clap", but I guess you guys like the more brutal US version "Killing more birds with one rock" or something like that. It was a pretty nice day, and I'm glad that we went outside. Not just the pictures look pretty cool, just being out there together, just the two of us is nice. Our lives haven't been easy these last couple of years, hate to admit it, as I wished it wasn't like that. Rough patches, but just like the huge Sun shown in the first photograph, we can see the end of the tunnel, meaning we're about halfway ^^. (Damn, I really think that extra Vitamin D dose is kicking in, haven't felt this positive in a long time). Anyway, enjoy the shots!

They see us strolling... they fainting

Or something like that. We spend about an hour in the woods, which was long enough to enjoy the Sun and a proper walk. Trust me, the photographs looked warmer than it actually was. Hope you enjoyed it!

Cheers,
Ruben

I love your forest shots. That moss covered tree stump, I can almost smell it xxx
Sorry to hear about your doc apt. Making changes is the right decision. It's not too late, to reverse things.
I have a wonderful book called 'Healing With Wholefoods" it covers the whole body and our body types and what foods and herbs to take to suit us. xxxx
