RAWWW ONLINE x Enschede700 – A Hip-Hop track devoted to Enschede

Last month, I had the honor of capturing a pretty special milestone: the 700th anniversary of the Municipality of Ensched. And not just in any way, but with a raw hip-hop track called ENSCHEDAY that wraps seven centuries of city history into one song.

How do you capture 700 years of history? Rapper Robin Kwakman and producers Tom Hoesstee and Wouter Hulsbergen did it with beats, dancers, primary school kids, and lyrics by Willem Wilmink.

From growth to recovery, from the textile era to student life, from Ledeboerpark to the fireworks disaster... it’s all in there.

I had the privilege to document this unique project through photography, with shoots in places like the Museumfabriek.

Together with Max van der Pijl (Studio Fletch), who filmed the music video, we managed to create some really nice visuals that day.
