Marsur Rock - Pakistan's Trolltunga

This is a very special place in the northeast of Pakistan. Just a few minutes from Skardu you’ll find one of the most spectacular spots in all of Baltistan: Marsur Rock. A narrow cliff ledge that hangs over the valley like a balcony – with views of the Indus River, the Sarfaranga Desert and the surrounding mountains.

The trail is insanely steep: 1,000 meters (3300 ft) of elevation over just 3 km (9800 ft) – but the effort is absolutely worth it.
At the top you reach the iconic rock ledge that’s rightly known as Pakistan’s Trolltunga. Perfect for photos, but definitely pretty exposed.
As you can see, Tobi was super relaxed – while I was pretty much about to pee my pants.
