A New York Avenue In Tokyo

While wandering the back streets of Tokyo I came up an interesting area. The buildings were familiar, but out of place.

It was right next to Meguro station, but was an area I had never been to before.

I don't recall ever seeing a fire escape in Tokyo.

Notice the paper machine in the picture above?

This next set of buildings gave off a different vibe, especially with the barred windows!

It appears this is all part of a photo studio called Ease https://iziz.co.jp/studio-and-space

There are three main areas to Ease, Old Avenue, NY Street & Paris Street(pictured above).

Well that makes sense. This second area has a bit more of a European vibe to it.

At the end of the buildings is the Old Avenue shooting space that held some secrets behind trees and walls.

I looked for breaks in the barriers to see what was hidden back there. A sidewalk cafe?

As I continued on a few small apartment buildings cut off the views of Old Avenue behind them. Then, rounding the corner I discovered this, E-Park. https://e-park.co.jp/

I lies at the other end of the Old Avenue studio.

Looking into this space, it is a park with various outdoor activities like an ice skating rink on the left, a climbing wall and a small skate park at the back.

The park was closed when I visited so I wasn't able to get any more pictures, but I will probably visit there again this winter to take my daughter ice skating.

These small places are another reminder that just wandering around Tokyo will bring you interesting and unexpected sightseeing.
