Photo Trip | Croatia - A walk on the promenade of the old town of Zadar

Today I invite you for a summer walk along the promenade located in the western part of the Old Town of Zadar. It's obviously a very popular tourist destination, so taking photos without people is very difficult. Due to its location, the promenade is a great place to admire sunsets. During the day, the sky is blue, and the water is blue.

Dziś zapraszam na letni spacer po promenadzie znajdującej się w zachodniej części Starego Miasta w Zadarze. Jest to oczywiście bardzo popularne turystycznie miejsce, więc zdjęcia bez ludzi jest bardzo ciężko wykonać. Ze względu na położenie, promenada jest świetnym miejscem na podziwianie zachodów słońca. W ciągu dnia mamy błękitne niebo i błękitną wodę.

In the foreground of the photo above, you can see a 3D map of Zadar's Old Town, located on a peninsula. Our walk begins at the lower left corner of this map and continues towards the lower right. I took the photo itself on the other side of the peninsula, which will be around the upper left part of the map.

Na pierwszym planie powyższego zdjęcia widać mapę 3d Starego Miasta w Zadarze położonym na półwyspie. Nasz spacer zaczynamy od lewego dolnego rogu tej mapy i będziemy szli w kierunku prawego dolnego rogu. Zdjęcie wykonałem po drugiej stronie półwyspu, czyli będą to okolice górnej lewej części mapy.

There are two tourist attractions at the beginning of the walk. The first is a visible blue circle made of solar panels. This is the northwestern part of the peninsula, so this part of the promenade will be great for watching sunsets in the summer, as the sun sets further north at this time.

Na początku spaceru znajdują się dwie atrakcje turystyczne. Pierwsza z nich jest widoczne niebieskie koło stworzone z paneli słonecznych. Jest północno-zachodnia część półwyspu, więc ta część promenady latem będzie świetna do oglądania zachodów słońca, które w tym okresie zachodzi bardziej na północ.

This modern monument to the sun ("Pozdrav suncu") was built in 2008. In the evenings, it creates a colorful light show. For children, this place is an attraction at any time.

Jest to nowoczesny pomnik słońca ("Pozdrav suncu"), który powstał w 2008 roku. Wieczorami tworzy kolorowy pokaz świetlny. Dla dzieci to miejsce jest atrakcją o każdej porze.

The second attraction is the stairs leading down to the sea, but these are no ordinary stairs. The Sea Organ ("Morske orgulje") is an architectural installation created in 2005. Standing nearby, you can hear the sounds created by the waves and tides. While taking this shot, I was also able to listen to sea music.

Drugą atrakcją są te schody do morza, ale nie są to zwykłe schody. Morskie organy ("Morske orgulje") jest to instalacja architektoniczna, która powstała w 2005 roku. Będąc w ich pobliżu można usłyszeć dźwięki tworzone pod wpływem fal oraz pływów morskich. Wykonując to ujęcie mogłem przy okazji posłuchać morskiej muzyki.

Widok na dalszą część spaceru i kolejny punkt do odwiedzenia - molo. Mała wieża na jego końcu przyciąga sporo osób.

These photos are actually from two walks I took along the promenade. You can tell by the clouds in the sky in the shot above and their absence in the one below.

Zdjęcia pochodzą w rzeczywistości z dwóch spacerów, jakie wykonałem przez promenadę. Można to zauważyć po chmurach na niebie na powyższym ujęciu i ich braku na poniższym.

It's almost impossible to take a photo here without people. Some came, took a souvenir photo, and left. Others decided to sit here, relax, or soak up the sun.

Raczej niemożliwe jest wykonanie tutaj zdjęcia bez ludzi. Część przychodziła, zrobiła pamiątkowe zdjęcie i odeszła. Inni postanowili tutaj posiedzieć, odpocząć czy poopalać się na słońcu.

The view from the pier towards the far end of the promenade. At the end, you can see the buildings of the University of Zadar. I would have a lot of trouble staying focused while studying in a place like this.
