An evening walk on the Łasztownia island in Szczecin

Hello everyone!

Łasztownia is one of the river islands in the center of Szczecin, which has been developing quite rapidly in recent years. Some of the old buildings have been renovated, including a large office building, the Polish Theater, the Maritime Science Center and the Euroregion Cultural Center Stara Rzeźnia. It is a popular place for walking and socializing. For me, this is my favorite place for night photography in this city. In the first photo, a view from the island towards Piastowski Boulevard and tenement houses on the other side of the Oder.

Witam wszystkich!

Łasztownia to jedna z rzecznych wysp w centrum Szczecina, która w ostatnich latach dość mocno się rozwija. Część starych budynków zostało odremontowanych, powstał m.in duży biurowiec, Teatr Polski, Morskie Centrum Nauki czy Centrum Kultury Euroregionu Stara Rzeźnia. Jest to popularne miejsce na spacer oraz spotkania towarzyskie. Dla mnie jest to ulubione miejsce do fotografii nocnej w tym mieście. Na pierwszym zdjęciu widok z wyspy na Bulwar Piastowski i kamienice po drugie stronie Odry.

Cranes are one of the attractions on the island. Sometimes they are additionally illuminated, which makes them look nice in the evening. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to find such a view so far, so the photos show them without additional lighting effects.

Dźwigozaury to jedna z atrakcji na wyspie. Czasami są dodatkowo podświetlone, dzięki czemu fajnie prezentują się wieczorem. Niestety nie udało mi się do tej pory trafić na taki widok, dlatego na zdjęciach są bez dodatkowych efektów świetlnych.

In the photo above, near the crane, you can see blurry silhouettes of people walking at that time (all photos were taken with a long exposure time with a camera on a tripod). On the left you can see a fragment of the Maritime Science Center.

Na zdjęciu powyżej przy dźwigu można zauważyć rozmazane sylwetki ludzi spacerujących o tej porze (wszystkie zdjęcia powstały na długim czasie naświetlania z aparatem na statywie). Po lewej stronie widać fragment Morskiego Centrum Nauki.

In this part of the island there are several renovated old buildings and large parking lots, where the Holiday Park Szczecin amusement park is set up in the summer.

W tej części wyspy znajduje się kilka odremontowanych starych budynków oraz duże parkingi, na których w okresie letnim rozstawiane jest wesołe miasteczko Holiday Park Szczecin.

This building houses the Stara Rzeźnia Euroregion Cultural Center.

Natomiast w tym budynku znajduje się Centrum Kultury Euroregionu Stara Rzeźnia.

Szczecin is a port city, so we can see various ships and boats moored here. The final of The Tall Ships Races is to be held here again in August this year.

Szczecin to miasto portowe, więc możemy spotkać tutaj zacumowane różne okręty i łodzie. W sierpniu tego roku ma się ponownie tutaj odbyć finał regat żeglarskich The Tall Ships Races.
