A mix of different places in Zadar

Hello everyone!

We divided our trip to Croatia with friends into two stages. The first was Zadar, where we spent almost a week. Our stay in the city consisted mainly of overnight stays and daily trips by car to new destinations. We visited Zadar itself last, before the second stage, which involved a ferry ride to Pula. This post will include some general information and a mix of shots from various days.

Witam wszystkich!

Podróż do Chorwacji z przyjaciółmi podzieliliśmy na dwa etapy. Pierwszym był Zadar, w którym spędziliśmy niemal tydzień. Pobyt w tym mieście opierał się głównie na noclegu i codziennym wyjeździe autem w nowe miejsce do zwiedzania. Sam Zadar zwiedzaliśmy na końcu przed drugim etapem, czyli rejsem promem do Puli. W tym poście będzie kilka ogólnych informacji oraz mix ujęć z różnych dni.

First up, one of the main attractions for every tourist. A pedestrian bridge that shortens the route to the historic part of the city. I took the above shot from above the gate visible in the photo below.

Na początek jedno z głównych miejsc dla każdego turysty. Most dla pieszych skracających drogę do zabytkowej części miasta. Powyższe ujęcie wykonałem będąc nad bramą widoczną na poniższym zdjęciu.

The visible gate to the old town is part of the defensive walls on which you can walk and admire the panorama of the city.

Widoczna brama do starego miasta jest częścią murów obronnych po których można spacerować i podziwiać panoramę miasta.

While my friend was renting a car for our stay in Zadar, I decided to take a few photos. That day, instead of exploring Zadar, we drove to Split.

Kiedy kolega wynajmował auto na czas naszego pobytu w Zadarze ja postanowiłem zrobić kilka zdjęć. Tego dnia zamiast zwiedzać Zadar, wybraliśmy się samochodem do Splitu.

This is the building that caught my eye. We passed it on the second to last day, on our way from our apartment to the old part of town.

The building is located on Ivana Mažuranića Street next to one of the city's marinas.

A few photos showcasing what we'll call the newer city. In the photo above, I was intrigued by the contrast of the palm trees with the large white buildings. The photos were taken from the edge of the old town.

Another contrast of buildings from different styles and periods. During World War II, most of the city's buildings were destroyed. This resulted in such contrasts in architecture.

Kolejny kontrast budynków z różnych stylów i okresów. Podczas II wojny światowej większość zabudowy miasta została zniszczona. Efektem są takie kontrasty w budownictwie.

Zadar is located in the historic region of Croatia, Dalmatia. With a population of just over 70,000, its history dates back to the 4th century BC.

Zadar leży w historycznej krainie Chorwacji - Dalmacji. Posiada nieco ponad 70000 mieszkańców, natomiast jego historia sięga IV w. p.n.e.

Zadar has been a popular tourist destination for over 100 years. I even found information that the first travel agency was established in the city in 1899.

Od ponadu 100 lat Zadar jest popularnym turystycznie miejscem. Znalazłem nawet informację, że pierwsze biuro podróży powstało w tym mieście w 1899 roku.

The city is located on the Adriatic Sea, so you will also find various old lighthouses here.

Miasto leży nad Morzem Adriatyckim, dlatego znajdziemy tu również różne stare latarnie.

Finally, the view from the balcony of the apartment where we spent most of our time in Zadar sleeping (we spent the day exploring Croatia). If it weren't for the trees between the buildings, we'd have a nice view of the old town.

Na koniec widok z balkonu mieszkania, w którym przez cały pobyt w Zadarze głównie nocowaliśmy. Gdyby nie było tych drzew pomiędzy budynkami to mielibyśmy fajny widok na stare miasto.
