The dance of streetlights [Eng/Esp]

Our streets, our parks, and even the vast avenues that crisscross some cities witness the dance of streetlights and the interplay between them and the sun.

Human beings almost always ignore this cyclical, daily, ongoing relationship. They ignore it because they don't lift their heads and pause for a moment to contemplate it. Many don't even know about it, and that's sad. Something so beautiful shouldn't be ignored. Something so sublime should be enjoyed, and thus begin the daily journey toward whatever the day holds with a smile.

With this approach to life, I walk to work every day in search of the small, great details that amaze me through contemplation.

Thus, magical moments are discovered, and I try not to let them slip away.

Dawn breaks and the streetlights are off. But they remain with the same mission as always: to show the light. We just have to find it.

And in the monochrome of black and white, I witness this captivating dance, which manages to show the sun in its dynamic place to give us the moment when it caresses the interior of the streetlights, illuminating our steps.

Nuestras calles, nuestros parques e incluso las avenidas enormes que atraviesan alguna que otra ciudad, son testigos de la danza de las farolas y del juego entre ellas y el sol.

El ser humano casi siempre ignora esta relación cíclica, cotidiana, permanente. La ignora por el hecho de no levantar la cabeza y detenerse un momento para contemplarla. Muchos ni siquiera conocen sobre ella, y es triste. Algo tan hermoso debería no ser ignorado. Algo tan sublime debería disfrutarse y así iniciar con una sonrisa la cotidiana marcha hacia lo que depare el día.

Con esta manera de asumir la vida, transito hacia mi trabajo cada jornada en busca de los pequeños grandes detalles que me asombren a través de la contemplación.

Así, suceden descubrimientos de instantes mágicos que suceden e intento no dejarles escapar.

Amanece y las farolas están apagadas. Pero ellas permanecen con la misma misión de siempre, mostrar la luz. Solo debemos encontrarla.

Y en la monocromía del blanco y negro, soy testigo de esta danza que cautiva, que logra mostrar al sol en su sitio dinámico para regalarnos el instante en que acaricia el interior de las farolas iluminando nuestros pasos.
