Don't slide the honey from your face
over the reflection of the one who embraces you.
Don't slide the sweat
of the one who can't find you.
Keep the ransom of your steps.
The footprints will let others see
what your eyelids hide,
even if you don't hide
your lips,
nor can the flowers resist
the spell of sipping
what doesn't impress
but dances in the stillness.

And she asked him not to rain
but on the flowers.
She asked him to be reborn.
Just her gaze
and her embrace.

No deslices la miel de tu rostro
sobre el reflejo de quien te abraza.
No deslices el sudor
de quien no te encuentra.
Quédate con el rescate de tus pasos.
Las huellas dejarán que otros vean
lo que tus párpados esconden,
aunque no escondas
tus labios,
ni las flores resistan
el hechizo de libar
lo que no impresiona
pero danza en la quietud.

Y le pidió que no lloviera
sino sobre las flores.
Le pidió renacer.
Solo su mirada
y el abrazo.
