In the solitude of its balconies II | PhotoFeed Contest - Cityscape Photography Round 121 [En-Es]

Hello photography lovers at #photofeed!

I was just thinking about sharing a different kind of imagery with you in response to the contest that @photofeed so masterfully proposes every week, but I decided to bring you these photographs as a way of letting off steam in the face of a city that eludes me and hurts in its helplessness.

Although it may not look real, this building is the entrance to Santa Clara Boulevard, a city nestled in the center of #Cuba. A building whose pronunciation is similar to mine, and that's why I'm sharing it with you in black and white. I've already told you that I always try to maximize the contrast this technique offers, and this is one of those cases, given the symbolism it holds.

In this image, I intend to show a lamp without bulbs with the symbolism of someone who preserves the hope of light and a bright sky.

Because one day the boulevard must be a place whose image truly reflects the desired reality, and its lights, those lights we long for, will illuminate us.

¡Hola amantes de la fotografía en #photofeed!

Pensaba en estos momentos en compartirles imágenes de otro tipo para dar respuesta al concurso que @photofeed nos propone como cada semana tan magistralmente, pero decidí traerles estas fotografías a modo de desahogo ante una ciudad que se me escapa y duele en su desamparo.

Aunque no parezca real, este edificio es la entrada a lo que constituye el Boulevard de Santa Clara, ciudad enclavada en el centro de #Cuba. Un edificio que por demás tiene un nombre parecido al mío en su pronunciación y por ello se los comparto en blanco y negro, como quiera que ya les he dicho que el contraste que me brinda esta técnica siempre trato de aprovecharlo al máximo, y este es uno de esos casos por los simbolismos que encierra.

En esta imagen, una lámpara sin bombillas pretendo mostrarla con la simbología de quien conserva la esperanza de la luz y un cielo brillante.

Porque algún día el boulevard ha de ser un sitio cuya imagen realmente sea coherente con la realidad deseada y sus luces, esas luces que ansiamos, nos iluminen.
