Fifteen magical springs to smile about | My entry for #Monomad Challenge [ENG-ESP]

Hello, Hive black-and-white photography lovers!

I don't know if this happens to many people, but I, for one, was really craving a celebration where joy, light, and life took center stage.

Thanks to @lizandra—who invited me to the birthday party of her youngest daughter, Lía, as she celebrated her fifteenth birthday—I had the chance to attend a party the likes of which I hadn't seen in a long time.

As a side note, I should clarify that I wasn't just an ordinary guest; rather, @lizandra herself designated me to take photos of everything related to the celebration and its attendees—a task I couldn't refuse.

As a lover of black-and-white photography, I naturally couldn't pass up the chance to take my own photos, starting right from the party's setup and organization at the venue.

The schedule was timed to the minute. It was the day of the first World Cup semifinal, and I didn’t want to miss it, so I arrived early at the party venue to watch the preparations unfold.

From early on, the organizers were setting up tables with dressed chairs, cutlery, floral arrangements, and balloons to decorate the path the birthday girl would take along the red carpet.

There was Mayron, Lía’s boyfriend, juggling a dual role: he was in charge of the sound system while also getting ready to perform later in the ceremony—dancing the waltz and singing in the style of a true Mexican Charro.

Then there was Lía’s uncle, responsible for the food and—an absolute must—serving the beer.

I was able to watch the soccer match between Spain and France in complete tranquility and returned happy with the result. Upon my return, all that remained was to await the start of the ceremony, where everything was illuminated by the beauty of Lía and those surrounding her in perfect, joyful complicity.

There were moments for heartfelt notes of encouragement and dances; her parents took part in the ritual marking her transition from girlhood to young womanhood, and—as required by age-old tradition—the waltz was a must.

Even later that night, a power outage tried to dim everyone’s lights, but to no avail; they simply kept on dancing and laughing to their hearts' content, even in the dark.

Magical, unforgettable moments—just like those experienced by any teenager who gets to celebrate her fifteenth birthday exactly as she pleases.

And so, with the memory of that day’s smile still with me, I bid you farewell with a warm, radiant embrace—until the next black-and-white frame!

No sé si a muchos les sucede, pero al menos a mí, me hacía falta una fiesta donde el protagonismo estuviese en la alegría, la luz y la vida.

Gracias a @lizandra, quien me invitó a la fiesta de cumpleaños de su hija menor, Lía, quien cumplió quince primaveras, tuve la posibilidad de asistir a una fiesta como hacía tiempo no veía.

A modo de curiosidad, he de aclarar que no fui un simple invitado, más bien tuve la designación, por parte de la propia @lizandra, de mantenerme capturando fotos a todo lo relativo con el evento festivo y sus asistentes y a lo cual no pude negarme.

Como amante de la fotografía en blanco y negro, por supuesto no podía desaprovechar la chance para hacer mis propias fotos desde el propio proceso de organización y montaje de la fiesta en el lugar.

Las horas, estarían cronometradas. Era el día de la primera semifinal del Mundial de Fútbol y no quería perdérmela, así que estuve temprano en el sitio de la fiesta para ir viendo los preparativos.

Los organizadores desde bien temprano armaron las mesas con sus asientos vestidos, los cubiertos, los arreglos florales, los globos para adornar el paso por la alfombra roja de la cumpleañera.

Mayron, el novio de Lía, en su doble papel de encargado del audio y ya preparado para luego participar en la ceremonia bailando el vals y cantando como si fuera un Charro del más puro estilo mexicano.

El tío de Lía, en su rol de responsable de la gastronomía y servido de la cerveza, algo que no podía faltar.

Con toda tranquilidad pude ver el partido de fútbol entre España y Francia y regresé feliz por el resultado. Ya en el regreso, solo quedaba esperar por el inicio de la ceremonia donde todo se iluminó con la belleza de Lía y quienes le rodeaban en total complicidad para su beneplácito.

Hubo momentos para regalarle notas de estímulo, bailes, sus padres en el ritual del paso de la niña que se convierte en joven, el vals que no podía tampoco faltar como parte de la tradición milenaria.

Incluso ya en la noche, la electricidad en su ausencia intentó opacar las luces de todos, pero no, aún a oscuras continuaron bailando y riendo a placer.

Instantes mágicos para no olvidar como le sucede a toda adolescente que tiene la posibilidad de festejar a su antojo sus quince primaveras.

Y así, aún con la sonrisa de ese día en mi recuerdo, me voy despidiendo con un abrazo de luz, ¡hasta un próximo fotograma en blanco y negro!
