Our first Halloween in Colombia (ENG-ESP)

Hello! Dear friends of this wonderful community, I hope you are all well and have a wonderful week full of positive things in your lives.

On this occasion, I want to share with you what Halloween was like in Colombia. It was the first time I took my son out trick-or-treating, and in a totally different country, with lots of people in costumes and children dressed up as countless characters.

Although people go a little crazy with the costumes, children are the ones who enjoy this day the most, going from house to house or business to business asking for candy. They love it and really enjoy this day, since it is the only day here in Colombia when they dress up, as here in Cali we don't celebrate Carnival, only Halloween.

Personally, I know that many religions say that this day is for something else, but I only saw innocent children dressed up as their favorite characters and asking for candy, just being kids. As long as I can support my son with these moments, I will do so without a doubt.

¡Hola! Queridos amigos de esta hermosa comunidad, espero que todos se encuentren bien y tengan una hermosa semana llena de cosas positivas para nuestras vidas.

En esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes lo que fue nuestro Halloween en Colombia, primera vez que salía a llevar a mi hijo, a pedir dulces y en otro país totalmente diferente, muchas personas disfrazadas, niños disfrazados de un sin fin de personajes.

Aunque la gente se vuelve un poco loca con los disfraces los niños son los que más disfrutan este día pidiendo caramelo de casa en casa o de negocio en negocio, ellos les encanta y disfrutan mucho este día, ya que es el único día aquí en Colombia que se disfrazan, ya que aquí en cali no se celebra carnaval solo Halloween.

En lo personal sé que muchas religiones dicen que este día es para otra cosa, pero yo solo vi niños inocentes disfrazados de sus personajes favoritos y pidiendo caramelo, normalmente siendo niños. Mientras yo pueda apoyar a mi hijo con estos momentos, lo haré sin duda alguna.
