Ocean Blvd. Long Beach California

Long Beach is the only beach town in California where you won't see surfers. It's sort of strange. There's no waves here because of the breakwater so we have to drive out of town.

Lovely photos! My wife and I spent a week in Ocean Beach last year and I've been missing it ever since. I never understood the obsession with Southern California, but after just that one week I can't stop thinking about wanting to go back... maybe permanently!

Ocean Beach is pretty cool! I haven't been there in a long time. It used to have an old school funkiness I liked a lot.

Generally I would advise people to avoid Southern California in summer because of the crowds but it's nice if you have a good place to stay and avoid certain freeways and other traffic jams lol.
