It's that time of year when things quiet down. It's still warm/hot summer weather but kids are back in school and the sun is lower in the sky. This place here takes me back to being about 6 or 7 yrs old. My friend lived very close and I lived a few blocks away. In those days we started school in mid September. This would have been the last week of summer. I looked forward to school and also didn't want vacation to end. Thinking of fall and cooler weather was always nice. Halloween approaching and the crisp clear days... I miss the energy and enthusiasm I had for running around, skateboarding, riding my bike, playing different ball games at school. The newness and the exploration all over the neighborhood...
