Erosion down on the peninsula in Long Beach California

It's not looking good. Somebody has been spending A LOT of MONEY down here for years and years trying to keep sand on the beach and to protect these homes. I don't know where the money comes from. But It's an enormous amount. I'm not even going to look it up. I don't want people losing their homes and I'm also feeling ripped off as well. What do I do with that? Conflicting feelings and thoughts... Oh well.

There's a large storm south of us now that's going to send some big powerful waves over the weekend. Normally I would be excited to photograph it. Not this time though. That and my right shoulder is messed up and I have no idea why. Dr. appt. on Friday. I'm pretty scared that it might be something bad...
