Two to three hours driving if there's no traffic. There are little pockets here and there along the way.

I'm in Long Beach right at the ocean. It's there just left of the center on the map.Below Los Angeles. Surrounded in every direction. It used to a lot better here and way less people.

You're right mostly it's empty everywhere. Just not here.

It's hot as fuck inland away from the ocean 6 months of the year. The desert area is really nice in winter though

Once you pass Santa Monica going up the coast it really gets more open.

2 to 3 hours drive is to really get out in nature.
