Impromptu visit to the memorial gallery
I and my family were at Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya and we were on our way to the food court for lunch. While walking at the Ground Level of the mall, we saw what previously was an empty space turned to an exhibition space.
We stop at the front of the exhibition space. From there I can see the title of the exhibition which was called "Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Pop-up Memoriam". The exhibition was mainly about Malaysia's first prime minister which is Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra.
Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah (8 February 1903 – 6 December 1990) was a Malaysian statesman and lawyer who served as the first prime minister of Malaysia and the head of government of its predecessor states from 1955 to 1970: >> Wikipedia Source Link <<
There were a lot of old newspaper snippets that is showed at the exhibition. Among other things that were showcased, there were collections of Tunku's clothes, old Malaya banknotes, and a vintage car owned by Malaysia's former prime minister.
Out of all items, the one that really catch my eye was the actual pen used by Tunku Rahman Putra to sign the Independence Declaration. It was a pen from Parker and the model was Parker 61.
Parker had been working for decades to find the perfect filling system and when the Parker "61" was finally introduced in 1956 it was really like a pen from another world, as it was initially advertised. >> Source Link <<
Based on the banner that was in front of the exhibition entrance, the exhibition will be held for two months starting from 13th August 2022 until 30th September 2022.
It is good to bring your family to this type of exhibition and learn about our history. In my opinion, knowing about our history is important because it is essential and helps us in understanding ourselves and possibly the world surrounding us.
My youngest daughter asked me a lot of questions regarding the items showcased there. I read the description placed for each item and explain it back to her. While my eldest daughter took her time to read the description.
We spent around 20 minutes inside the exhibition. After that, we continue our walk to the food court and had our lunch there.

very unusual place. there is a lot that we can see when we go to that place.
