Fun day at Djurgården, Stockholm: 2012

On 2nd August 2012, we had a great day at Djurgården, Stockholm with my Eldest bro, Sister in Law and Nephews & Niece. It was a perfect summer day. Honestly speaking, I didn’t remember the name of this location so, I recently asked my Sister in law and she told me Djurgården however, I cross checked by searching pictures in Google Lens and find some other names as well like Isbladskärret & Blockhusudden.

This picture showed me that we were close to Blockhusudden, Yxmannen Eric Grate (1930) matched and showed some other pictures of the same place. It is a beautiful sculpture standing right there. Me and my Sister in Law were roaming around this sculpture along with the kids and my Bro was busy in taking pictures. From here, our initial walk started and we went on to the different places of Djurgården.

I think these places are changed now as these pictures are almost 12 years old and didn’t show the exact places still I figured out by looking at the map. Wowow I was so young and the kids were having a great time with me as I was there on a visit of six months.

We have a photo session right at the corner. It was a spectacular view and my bro smelled it and asked us to pose for the pictures. He is a wonderful photographer and a professional too. He took some awesome pictures.

Later, my Nephews joined me in posing and we sat on the bench along with my Sister in Law. It is a nice place to sit and relax and enjoy the sea breeze and nature.

Then we had a group photo with some cheezy faces. I still remember that my Bro was making fun of me and the kids and that was the start of him getting angry however, he kept himself cool and calm and later joined us to be funny and crazy and enjoyed the day.

While we all were having fun, our little Princess was sleeping in the pram.

Now, this is what I call an amazing nature. I have never seen such type of trees and such type of shapes in my life but only on this day. Seriously, it was looking amazing and I was like from where to start.

Me and my Nephew played a bit of football and then I got busy in climbing the trees.

Again, it was a day of pictures. My Bro wonderfully captured those moments with amazing nature. I was asking others to climb and join me.

I had couple of poses for the pictures. I was not at all scared of falling down and in the pictures, the height sees not that much however, in reality, it was a good height. I grabbed one of my Nephew on the tree and asked him to enjoy without any stress as I have a tight hold on you. In couple of minutes, he was smiling and understood that it was not that dangerous. Just sit firmly and make sure to balance well.

Then again, My Bro with amazing shots, I was not ready to get down from the trees lol I was living the life of a Monkey.

Later my Bro and Sister in Law joined me in the crazy fun of climbing trees. It was a great place to hand out with friends and family but we didn’t find much people around, it was just us and couple of other families. In the pictures as well, you can clearly see the emptiness of the place.

It was my time to get in the shoes of a photographer. I tried my best to capture clear pictures because my hand gets shaky a lot and most of the pictures get blurry. Luckily, I got some nice shots of my family as they were having fun in the trees.

We spent a lot of time there with the trees, a lot of pictures. One of the best ones are of my jump. I ran on to a tree till the point I find myself stuck and then immediately jumped out of the way. My Bro saw that and asked to do it again. He captured my jump in a fantastic way. I did that again and again as I was liking doing it. I was not this much fatty at that time lol.

After a long time, we left the trees and started walking along the riverside. It was a nice view as well. a wonderful pathway having an spectacular view of the river, boats were passing through.

We kept walking and walking and seriously, we were having one great place after other. There are so many beautiful spots where friends and family can have a wonderful time together. My Nephew was running on the pathway and jumping around with excitement. It was nothing new for him but he was excited because I was with him this time.

As you can see in the pictures, the place looks amazingly cool along with our crazy and funny poses. It was all coming from our inner side, this shows the excitement and happiness we were having while we were roaming around in Djurgården. I am not sure how much we walked on that day but it was a massive walk for sure. We had a great and wonderful time together and we enjoyed each and every spot and moment of this place. Highly recommended for walkers.
