Cycling for Physical and Mental Health
Hello, bike lovers! I will share with you some incidences of my recent ride. A while ago I bought a used bike that is in good condition, I did this not only for recreational purposes, but also to improve my physical and mental health. I believe that when we do an activity such as cycling, whether for entertainment and fun we can have a positive impact on our state of mind, which in recent times has become a key element to live a better life and alleviate the negative effects of stress.
I started my ride with a lot of enthusiasm, with my mind set on enjoying my day and feeling the freedom that riding a bicycle offers. This is an ecological and environmentally friendly vehicle that I really love.
My first stop was at the tire station, since it’s necessary to make sure that the tires have adequate air pressure. By the way, I have noticed that soon it will be time to change tires, as the ones I have are starting to show signs of wear.
In recent years, I have noticed that the number of cyclists riding on the streets has increased, and I have seen that many of them don’t have helmets, which could put their safety at risk, especially in a city that still doesn’t have bike lanes.
This time I was lucky to find the avenue where I mainly ride with very little vehicular traffic, as workers of the mayor's office were doing some maintenance work and had diverted the traffic of cars and heavy vehicles, this allowed me to enjoy my tour much more, and made me feel more relaxed during part of the trip.
Hydration is very important when we do any physical activity, so from time to time I take the time to drink water and refresh myself, especially at this time of the year when it has been very hot.
And after about 1 hour of riding I returned home safe and sound, with the satisfaction of having done something beneficial for my health and having spent a nice time in contact with the outdoors. Thanks for joining me here, see you next time.
