Exposición fotográfica en el "Omar Carreño"/Photography exhibition at the "Omar Carreño" 📸

Como saben soy una apasionada del arte, por lo que cada vez que tengo la oportunidad de ir a La Asunción paso por el Centro de Artes Omar Carreño y bajo a la galería esperando hayan actualizado la exposición y hace una semana aproximadamente me encontré con la exposición fotográfica Aetérnum, de los estudiantes de la escuela de fotografía de Alejandro Sayegh.

Esta muestra es parte del trabajo final de los estudiantes de la academia, y meses atrás pude disfrutar de una pequeña parte de toda esta exposición en uno de los pasillos del C.C. Sambil, donde por razones de espacio solo se presentaron algunas obras, pero al ser la galería del teatro un lugar enorme, pudieron presentar las obras completas de todos los artistas y la verdad es que me encantó.

Una de las cosas que más me gustó es que cada expositor identifica sus fotos, les coloca un nombre, y en algunos casos deja una pequeña reflexión sobre lo que desea transmitir, lo que me parece bastante genial porque de esa forma podemos conocer la intención del artista. Y como pueden ver cada fotógrafo trabajó en un enfoque completamente diferente, lo que hace que sea una exposición única, bastante variadita y para todos los gustos.

Mis favoritas, como se imaginarán son las que muestran personajes de nuestro pueblo en sus actividades diarias, y es que siempre he pensado que lo que hace a Margarita tan especial es su gente. Entre ellas las que más llamaron mi atención fue un grupo de artesanas trabajando el barro y otras donde simplemente se muestran a algunos personajes en su entorno.

Ese día como siempre la galería estaba sola, y la verdad no entiendo como la gente no aprovecha este espacio, pero por otro lado, no me puedo quejar porque así disfruto mucho más de mi recorrido, sin nadie que me distraiga, sin gente al rededor, en fin, en total soledad como me gusta estar 🤣

Y si tú que me lees, eres de los que vive en Margarita y no visita la galería, déjenme decirles que debería darles vergüenza vale 🤣🤣🤣. Mentira, es broma gente! Pero ahora en serio, sí los invito a que aprovechen este espacio que además de ser hermoso nos muestra lo mejor del talento margariteño.

As you know, I am passionate about art, so every time I have the opportunity to go to La Asunción, I stop by the Omar Carreño Arts Center and go down to the gallery, hoping that they have updated the exhibition. About a week ago, I came across the Aetérnum photography exhibition by students from Alejandro Sayegh's photography school.

This exhibition is part of the academy students' final project, and a few months ago I was able to enjoy a small part of the entire exhibition in one of the corridors of the Sambil Shopping Center, where, due to space constraints, only a few works were displayed. However, since the theater gallery is a huge space, they were able to display all of the artists' works in their entirety, and I really loved it.

One of the things I liked most is that each exhibitor identifies their photos, gives them a name, and in some cases leaves a little reflection on what they want to convey, which I think is pretty cool because that way we can understand the artist's intention. And as you can see, each photographer worked with a completely different approach, which makes it a unique exhibition, quite varied and for all tastes.

My favorites, as you can imagine, are the ones that show people from our town going about their daily activities, because I've always thought that what makes Margarita so special is its people. Among them, the ones that caught my attention the most were a group of artisans working with clay and others that simply show people in their environment.

That day, as usual, the gallery was empty, and I really don't understand why people don't take advantage of this space, but on the other hand, I can't complain because that way I enjoy my visit much more, with no one to distract me, no people around, in short, in total solitude, just the way I like it.

And if you're reading this and you live in Margarita and don't visit the gallery, let me tell you that you should be ashamed of yourselves 🤣🤣🤣. Just kidding, guys! But seriously, I invite you to take advantage of this space, which, in addition to being beautiful, shows us the best of Margarita's talent.
