In The Green
We are back in the middle of Sylhet once more. I couldn't hold on to the weekly streak, but here we are now.
This little experience was short-lived, but it's quite momentous. Because here we went above and beyond, or should I say below and deep? On our way to Jaflong Zero Point, we decided to stop at this tea field hugging the borders and hills of India.
Little did we know, that the deeper we'd go, the more we'd discover.

I'm the laid-back kind of traveler; taking in the views, deep breaths, and observing more, I like to take it slow.
Yet, this time for some reason I was ready to go to the edge, literally!
As far as my eyes could see, and as far as my feet could go, or climb. I was ready to go straight ahead, to the edge; hypnotized by that hilly border area with a little stream of water. Alas, there were fences and border guards holding the area.
However, we did manage to find something...

I, my father-in-law, and brother-in-law just started walking to the edge. We just wanted to see how far we could go, nothing more.
After climbing down a fairly vertical and rocky downslope, we saw this big cave-ish structure that was to our left. A group of young tourists were in there too, taking in the sights and clicking pictures, so we asked what the fuss was all about.
They replied that there was a fountain down there, and we thought they were joking, but after we walked in following the little trail of water, and whadyyaknow, we realized that they were actually telling the truth.

Lo and behold, nature's work of art and a source of clean water too.
We stood there in awe for a bit, then went ahead and filled up our flask lol. We took a few pictures and also managed to spot a little snake haha. The little guy bounced as soon as it saw this many unwelcomed visitors together; I'd do the same actually, can't blame it.
I guess sometimes you just have to go looking in places that people usually disregard because they're either lazy or fearful. But if you do go the extra mile, then that's where you'll find such treasures. Most of the tourists weren't even coming close to this area, because of the long distance and uneven terrain.
When we started walking towards the edge we did expect something, but not something like this.

Well, after that it was time to climb back up again. The climb back upwards was far easier, because this time we knew the route, but around halfway back to the common tourist spot, my legs gave up.
The climb may not look like much in the pictures, but trust me, it was quite high up. So, I just decided to stop and drop, and for about 5 minutes I got a little shut-eye.
After that, I looked far and wide, up and above. I just gave in to nature; we weren't acting as one, I'm no monk, but there definitely was a little spark there.

The view is really lovely but I’m someone who gets scared of being in a place with so many plantations or trees like this
I don’t know why though, lol
That's a weird one, people usually feel calm around such green and blue. 🤔
Green, green, and blue everywhere. Sylhet is full of greenery in between blue skies and waters.
You guys have visited many spots. Did you cover Jaflong and Bichanakandi as well?
Yep, Sylhet is all done and dusted. That makes 80% of Bangladesh I guess.
