FIERO
Louis Nizer
Dhaka's fashion industry has surely upped its game, actually, it's the sartorial industry to be very specific.
I'm not much of a fashion person, nor am I into the latest and greatest trends. But, a well-tailored suit crafted by the hands of an artisan, that I surely can, and will appreciate. It seems that nowadays there's no shortage of adept tailors in this small city of ours. A master craftsman, top-notch fabrics, big studios, and undivided service, you can find it all here, of course, if you have that kind of money to spend.
The last time I posted about Dapper Bespoke, I thought that none would come close in terms of offerings and service; however, Fiero has changed that little opinion of mine.
At least 7 out of 10 businesses will be able to offer you "good products" these days, but what makes a business stand out and gives it the potential to confirm a return customer, is proper service.
The other day my buddy and I visited Feiro, arguably the best tailor in Bangladesh; that's what the ratings say at least. And hey, such numbers don't lie.
My friend is currently doing some modeling work for them and was also expecting two of the suits that he had ordered. He notified me a day prior, that he'd be headed that way, so he wanted me to tag along, and I agreed. Only a fool would reject such an occasion and opportunity.
Moreover, I've been eyeing a few suits and local tailors in these past few months as well, I really want to get a nice three-piece suit and a blazer.
We arrived at Fiero at around 6 PM, met the owner, and started browsing all the available options.
Then we talked about style, watches, business, the economy, and future opportunities; as we sipped on some green tea and chowed on some local spicy masala puffed rice, sound fancy, right? It's AKA Jhaal Muri haha.
Soon enough three more individuals had joined us, people who were return customers and acquaintances, and then that space turned into a small meeting area. We checked out all the latest fabrics from England, Italy, and some other countries; many different styles of suits and price ranges, the options were unbounded. The price for a suit started from a price as low as $120, and the bespoke range started from $350 and ranged up to the $5k to 8k range and above.
For a country like Bangladesh, these prices might seem absurd, but the sales were there. Of course, these suits won't sell like hotcakes, but such establishments focus more on quality and service, rather than quantity.
Trust me, the suits were great, the line-up of available styles, tables fully covered in a myriad of quality fabrics, you could take hours to finally come to a conclusion; yet, no one would intrude. You could take all the time you need, and the owner himself, with his adept staff, would quite happily be there to assist you too.
And that's exactly what stood out on that lovely day. A proper welcoming attitude and impeccably amicable service.
The choice is now clear as day for me, no matter when I decide to put together a nice suit; this year or the next, my uncontested establishment of choice is certainly, Fiero.
The prices indeed sound absurd, especially the higher ranges. $150-300 is actually quite common even in Chittagong, so I'd presume that is the standard in dhaka. But upto $5k? Damn!
What 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bhai, one of the closeup images you see here, that fabric is lined with gold. I think the average price for that one is $8k a pop. 😬
Fancy, right? 😏 Just slap on this name, and you'll be charging 300Tk per plate for some damn jhal muri. People will pay too. 😂

Can't wait to see the photo of you wearing your suit from there 😁
That'll take time, I'll have to earn it first. 😬
I guess you love suits a lot
But $5k is a lot of money
Wow!!!
My budget is $500 for one suit, nothing more.
$5k for a suit is a whole different ball game, I'm not there yet, not even close. 😂
These suits are nice but what really got my attention is the beautiful quote by Louis Nizer.
It's true, and that is why we see fancy art and masterful craftsmanship being sold for hundreds of thousands, and millions even. Those who recognize the amount of dedication, time, and skill it takes, are willing to pay the price, no matter how "absurd" the amount may be.
