Course of action
"In a time of rapid change, standing still is the most dangerous course of action". - Brian Tracy
Just a few years ago I didn't have much work, whatever I did make and had managed to save up, Covid came in and decided to take it all away from me.
At that time I used to fear that I wouldn't be making much money anytime soon. I struggled to pay the bills for quite a while, even the very cheap and basic stuff was out of my reach.
The worry of having to figure something out quickly, lead to an impulsive business deal, and even that deal was on the decline. A few more tries, after a scam or two, all hope was gone.
I know, the idea of quick money, and impulsive decisions will never take you any place that's nice.
Yet, when you're cornered and left with no option, you will probably choose the only option you have, easy money or not, impulsive or heedful. And most of the time, it's not just for yourself and for the sake of having money, you end up doing it for the people who rely on you. The people who believe that you will provide, no matter what.
Because if you can't provide, add some sort of value, then you, what you say and what you do, will all be disregarded. Doesn't matter how much you once provided or how hard you've worked for it.
That's just how it works, it's human nature.
Now about 2 years later things seem to be falling in place again, yet I do believe it won't stay this way for long. I feel something big brewing up somewhere, and when I say something big, I don't mean it in a good way.
But right now I truly am happy, and grateful, that some opportunities are finally knocking on my door. I actually see a few more window of opportunities at a distance, waiting for my green signal.
They are a good few options for a solid Plan B, maybe?
While some things are already in the work in progress phase, bringing in some moolah, some more are being tested on the side. Opportunities are endless, and nowadays you can actually handle it alone, thanks to all the new thingamajigs and latest tech.
Yet, with a proper team of people, things become way easier. When a few brilliant minds with the hunger to succeed are working together, things become a lot more fun, and "fun" is what makes the game fascinating.
As of now, it's like a buffet, where I'll have to make the right picks, while also making sure that I'll be capable of digesting it all. I don't like wasting food, opportunities shouldn't be wasted either. I can make an impulsive decision and join another gig, but if I can't keep up with the pace and demand, then the option to just quit won't be available.
I surely don't wanna be person who put a whole in the ship because of his impulsive decisions, then took the life boat and abandoned the ship when they got the chance.
But I also don't wanna stand still, I'd like to explore, I want to contribute, and of course, make some money while I'm at it.
That's my course of action right now, simply put.
I liked your opening quite a lot.
It certainly is. Human nature is a very interesting one; simple but complex..
This is always the best option. It's better to explore, test the waters and make money while at it instead staying put, living your days with regrets and no money.
It's hardwired into us all. The day we stop "providing" or adding value, our own kind, our "loved ones", will be the first to turn their backs on us.
Of course, not all of them will act the same way, some will truly be there no matter what; yet, someone choosing to stay unconditionally, the chances of that "phenomenon" is 1 in a 100.
Making money has never been easier, there are a ton of options and categories to choose from now, but the value of money is going down too.
If this goes on, then a lot of people will have a lot of money, but their money won't be worth much.
This is true. Such people are gems. For the others who turn their backs, It is kind of automatic and we can't exactly blame people.
I guess this is when deflation sets in. I just hope it doesn't come anytime soon.
If you find such gems, then you better make sure you try your best to keep them close.
Same here, but I don't think we have a ton of time either.
