Fourth day in Pinar 🎸

This past weekend we made a whole avalanche of music in the streets of Pinar del Rio, our home province. We made art for the most teenagers as well as for those who like a traditional trova, from the most chic and expensive places, to the most humble, simple and full of good intentions. We had the support of incredible friends who shared their art in the different stages, friends we always count on, including Isbel, the duo Fábula, Jeylu, Kamilo and other artists who came to our presentations.

It all began on Thursday, September 7 with a concert full of blue lights in the Federicos house in the IPVCE Federico Engels, where the singing of the public shook the blue walls of that center, between songs by Pablo Alboran, Melendi and our own authorship, almost an hour and a half of concert, the energy of the place and the students, the echo of the applause, the eyes full of brightness, made a magical night that will be captured in the memory of those who lived there, as of us.

The second night took place in a discotheque bar of yesteryear here in our city but now remodeled, La Cueva. A place where youth and adolescence grow in each university party, the public that attended there was not really as much as we would like but as I always say we sing for those who go and we make them leave with a smile and a new way of admiring life.

To our surprise at the closing of the concert one of the bartenders appeared on stage with a flute accompanying the legendary Compay Segundo's song Chan Chan but this time interpreted by the duo Fábula. I think there is nothing better than singing to friends.

On Saturday 9th we performed in a very small but full of feelings place known as LELOV, there we shared songs of our authorship a little more intimate because incense, customs, books and good habits make you feel like in the living room of your house. There were also born new ideas for other opportunities, really an incredible place and the coffee is wonderful.

To close the last night, Sunday, we did a beautiful concert in the place that saw us grow, the café-shop-Jaracho, a place that has been responsible for cultivating the guitar music, the singer-songwriter, in addition to some gastronomic offerings that are a dream. A place where we show up once a month but every month there is a new scenery, a new piece of furniture, a new dessert, a new decoration full of stories and therefore takes you on a path not traveled before. The energy that we leave there is undoubtedly a beautiful thing, among so many craftsmanship one feels privileged.

In addition to all these presentations, this weekend is still a space for the family, for a good guitar lesson, to walk once again the streets of my Pinar, for a new song, for a new Manilla, for a kiss and a hug. And so Monday dawns with a goodbye, a kiss and a hug, my mother, my brother, Fabiana's, Lila's, Amy's and when I get on the bus the nostalgia is still there. For the moment the next stop is Havana. But I go back, I always go back to where I am so happy.
