Speed can be felt through the eyes… for the #monomad challenge

Around 10 a.m., I joined the national skating team on the road to capture more than just movement—I aimed to reflect the mindset of those who live on wheels. This series goes beyond sport: it’s about discipline, focus, teamwork… and the passion that glides across the asphalt.

Shot with my Canon 60D, I used a Canon 70-300mm lens to freeze the action with precision and a Praktica 135mm for tighter, more cinematic frames. The choice of black and white was intentional to highlight the contrast of the scene, the athlete’s character, and the raw intensity of the moment.

Each photo tells a story: the story of those who train every day to represent their country. And mine, as a photographer, always chasing the emotion behind the instant.

Yes, this is skating. But it’s also photography with soul.
