My first L series Canon

Hello, photography-loving community! Today I bring you something very, very special… but first, let me tell you a story.

So, I bought an 80mm Carl Zeiss lens, an absolute beast of a lens. I had to adapt it to my camera (Canon 5D Mark III) using an adapter. The results were spectacular; but this isn’t the lens I’m going to talk about today… though if you want to see photos taken with it, check out my blog; they're there, but I made them black and white.

So… shortly after, I came across an offer I couldn't resist… a Canon 24-105mm f4 L lens! And without a second thought, I went right out to buy it… with every pedal stroke (I went by bike) bringing me closer to the lens, I kept thinking: now's not the time, finances are tight, relax, you just bought one… and when I met the seller, I was looking for any reason not to buy it… but testing it made me fall in love… and I ended up paying for it.

Once home, of course, it was time to take photos of the cat (which are the ones I'll show you today) and test it out a bit… I love the color… the contrast… what do you all think?

This is my first L-series lens. I've always worked with more… basic lenses, shall we say, and the only way I’ve gotten close to this kind of quality before was with vintage lenses, which I’ll keep using.

That’s all… I hope you enjoy the photos and leave me your thoughts.
