[ENG] Greetings, community! A graphic comparison, as before and after of the extensive painting project that was carried out in the Los Altos Shopping Center, one of the busiest meeting points in the city where I live, San Antonio de los Altos, Miranda, Venezuela.

[ENG] With a geometric concept and a varied range of colors, the facades of this shopping center that used to be pale yellow and covered in graffiti have been covered. Planning for the project began at the end of last year and today painting and maintenance work continues on various parts of the building.

[ESP] Con un concepto geométrico y una gama de colores variada se han cubierto las fachadas de este centro comercial que antes solían ser de color amarillo pálido y cubiertas de graffiti. El proyecto comenzó a planificarse desde finales del año pasado y hoy en día se continúan los trabajos de pintura y mantenimiento en varias partes del edificio.

[ENG] It is a noticeable difference. Usually people would avoid painting on the exposed structure of the building, the clean-cut finish of the concrete looks much better, but even the columns were covered in graffiti, which is why the structural elements were covered.

[ESP] Es una notable diferencia. Normalmente se evitaría pintar sobre la estructura expuesta del edificio, el acabado de obra limpia del concreto se ve mucho mejor, pero incluso las columnas estaban cubiertas de graffiti, por esa razón fueron cubiertos los elementos estructurales.

[ENG] This big wall, in my opinion, is the best; the shape of this facade tends to be quite symmetrical and the upper wall is cantilevered, creating this outstanding effect, it was a good decision to maintain a symmetrical design with certain variations in the distribution of colors, it is dynamic and the combination of all the colors is quite nice.

[ESP] Esta pared grande, en mi opinión, es la mejor; la forma de esa fachada tiende a ser bastante simétrica y la pared de arriba está en volado, creando este efecto sobresaliente, fue buena decisión mantener un diseño simétrico con ciertas variaciones en la distribución de los colores, es dinámico y la combinación de todos los colores es bastante agradable.

[ENG] I like the new appearance, but I must say that I also liked the yellow, perhaps out of habit, it seemed representative of the place; now, new generations will remember the creative geometric patterns.

[ENG] This mall has up to 4 floors in the cinema section, which must be around 16 meters high, another section with 2 floors that maybe reaches 8 meters high, and another high section in the supermarket area, in length it must measure at least 150 meters and around 45 meters width, based on satellite images from Google Maps.

[ESP] Este centro comercial tiene hasta 4 pisos en la sección de cine, que deben ser alrededor de 16 metros de altura, otra sección de 2 pisos que puede alcanzar los 8 metros de altura, y otra sección alta en el área del supermercado, en longitud debe medir al menos 150 metros y alrededor de 45 metros de ancho, según imágenes satelitales de Google Maps.

[ENG] The south facade is the main one in this building and was the first to be painted, it faces the Avenida Perimetral de San Antonio, in addition, it can be seen from the top of the elevated part, while the north facade faces a private urbanization, this one has not been intervened yet.

[ESP] La fachada sur es la principal en este edificio y fue la primera en ser pintada, esta hace frente a la Avenida Perimetral de San Antonio, además, se puede ver desde la parte e arriba del elevado, mientras que la fachada norte hace frente a una urbanización privada, esta fechada no ha sido intervenida aún.

[ENG] These interventions represent an urban recovery, also a call to the community to keep public spaces clean and tidy, and thus create a sense of belonging and care for the city.
