Why We Keep Photographing the Street / #monomad challenge / [ING/ESP]

The photos 📸 are my entry to the #monomad contest from @monochromes and @brumest.
Greetings, hivers.
An old fire hydrant, a little girl on a scooter, and a busy street. Three simple elements that, brought together in the same instant, become a question I return to again and again: why do we photograph? Maybe because photography allows us to rescue what would otherwise dissolve into the flow of the day. It gives value to what seems ordinary and reveals that even the most common corner of the city can hold a small mystery, a quiet tension, or a fleeting harmony.
I believe we photograph because reality never repeats itself in exactly the same way. The street changes every second, people pass by, gestures appear and disappear, and light briefly organizes the world before everything falls back into motion. Pressing the shutter is, in some way, an attempt to understand that fleeting order and to preserve a fragment of life before it vanishes.
In the end, perhaps we photograph not only to remember what we saw, but also to understand what we felt when we saw it. That is what keeps drawing me back to the street: the possibility that among noise, movement, and chance, an image can suddenly say something essential.
Thank you so much for stopping by and reading. I hope these images speak to you as they spoke to me.

Saludos hivers.

Thank you very much. I try. a pleasure to read you thanks
I think that often the simplest things can be the most beautiful when it comes to taking great photos like yours. The street is certainly never the same, just as a river is never the same because the flowing water is constantly changing – just like the people on that street, their experiences, and, as you mention, the feeling you get when taking the photos.
I love the angles from which you’ve taken the photos and the contrasts in all of them. The girl on the scooter is one of my favourites, along with the last one where the car appears on the street. Excellent work!! Thank you very much and a big hug!

Wow gracias.
Congratulations. Today's #monomad first place is yours.
