Something that always catches my attention when I walk through the streets are the buildings and structures that rise into the sky. Since humanity began to develop, it has always sought to build higher and higher, perhaps to challenge some cosmic order, or simply to reaffirm its position as the dominant species. There is even competition between countries to see who can build the tallest skyscrapers or the longest bridges. I believe it is part of development, but also a reflection of ego.

Today I want to share with you some of the tallest buildings in Havana, including some that are centuries old and were already rising as if they wanted to touch the clouds.

Algo que siempre llama mi atención cuando camino por la calle son los edificios y estructuras que se alzan hacia el cielo. Desde que la humanidad comenzó a desarrollarse, siempre ha buscado construir cada vez más alto, tal vez para desafiar algún orden cósmico, o simplemente para reafirmar su posición como especie dominante. Incluso existe una competencia entre países para ver quién construye los rascacielos más altos o los puentes más largos. Creo que es parte del desarrollo, pero también un reflejo del ego.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algunos de los edificios más altos de La Habana, incluyendo algunos que tienen siglos de antigüedad y que ya se alzaban como si quisieran tocar las nubes.
