Greetings friends. I hope you are all doing well and continue enjoying black and white photography, because it truly is something special.

Today I want to share with you a small series of images taken around the Hotel Riviera. This place was once a symbol of Cuba’s golden era, when the country enjoyed all kinds of modern advances. Now, although in ruins, it still stands as a witness of time, reminding us of the strength of constructions from the past.

Its surroundings remain a gathering point for many people, especially in the late afternoon, when sunsets paint the Malecón and the horizon with indescribable beauty. Right there I have captured some of my best photographs of the setting sun. This time, however, I focused my camera on the building itself and on the people passing through the area. I hope you enjoy this series.

Hoy quiero compartirles una pequeña serie de imágenes tomadas en los alrededores del Hotel Riviera. Este lugar fue un símbolo de la época dorada de Cuba, cuando el país contaba con todo tipo de adelantos. Ahora, aunque en ruinas, se mantiene en pie como testigo del tiempo, recordándonos la solidez de las construcciones de antaño.

Sus alrededores siguen siendo un punto de encuentro para muchas personas, sobre todo al caer la tarde, cuando los atardeceres tiñen el malecón y el horizonte de una belleza indescriptible. Ahí mismo he capturado algunas de mis mejores fotografías del sol poniéndose. En esta ocasión, enfoqué mi cámara tanto en el edificio como en quienes transitaban por la zona. Espero que disfruten esta serie.
