Cats have always carried an air of mystery with them. Independent, elusive, and at times indifferent, they live as if the world belonged to them. Street cats, especially, embody resilience and survival. They move gracefully through our neighborhoods, claiming rooftops, corners, and hidden alleys as their kingdoms. Each one carries untold stories—some of abandonment, others of pure freedom.

Photographing them is never easy; they test our patience and remind us that they are not ours to command. Yet, when they pause for a second and look directly into the lens, it feels as if the city itself whispers through their eyes. For me, they are symbols of quiet resistance and daily struggle, wrapped in elegance and mystery.

Los gatos siempre han cargado consigo un aire de misterio. Independientes, esquivos y a veces indiferentes, viven como si el mundo les perteneciera. Los callejeros, sobre todo, son el reflejo de la resistencia y la supervivencia. Recorren con gracia nuestros barrios, adueñándose de azoteas, esquinas y callejones ocultos. Cada uno guarda historias no contadas—unas de abandono, otras de pura libertad.

Fotografiarlos nunca es sencillo; ponen a prueba nuestra paciencia y nos recuerdan que no están para obedecernos. Pero cuando se detienen un instante y miran directamente al lente, es como si la ciudad misma susurrara a través de sus ojos. Para mí, son símbolos de la resistencia silenciosa y de la lucha cotidiana, envueltos en elegancia y misterio.
