When I'm out on the streets, I'm always chasing animals in search of a good portrait. Cats and dogs are usually my most frequent models, but they are far from the only ones that find their way in front of my camera. Today I would like to share a selection of some less common visitors to my gallery.

The squirrels are undoubtedly the stars of this post. Older people say that many years ago some escaped from the zoo and eventually settled in the Nuevo Vedado area. Nowadays it is quite common to spot them at sunrise or sunset running through the trees. They are fast, curious, and incredibly photogenic.

Among these photos you will also find a few lizards, cows, and of course a couple of dogs that crossed my path. I hope you enjoy this small collection as much as I enjoyed photographing it. I have to admit that squirrels remain my favorites.

Por la calle siempre estoy persiguiendo animales para intentar hacerles un buen retrato. Habitualmente los gatos y los perros son mis modelos más frecuentes, pero no son los únicos que aparecen frente a mi cámara. Hoy quiero compartir una selección de algunos habitantes menos habituales de mi galería.

Las ardillas son, sin duda, las protagonistas. Los más viejos cuentan que hace muchos años algunas escaparon del zoológico y terminaron estableciéndose en la zona de Nuevo Vedado. Hoy es común verlas al amanecer o al atardecer corriendo entre los árboles. Son rápidas, curiosas y, además, muy fotogénicas.

Entre estas fotos también encontrarán algunas lagartijas, vacas y, por supuesto, algún que otro perrito que se cruzó en el camino. Espero que disfruten esta pequeña colección tanto como yo disfruté haciéndola. Debo confesar que las ardillas siguen siendo mis favoritas.
