Loneliness is a bad advisor, my grandfather used to say, may he rest in peace, and he was very right. Loneliness is good for putting ideas in order, for reflecting and making plans without distractions, for enjoying time with oneself. But science has shown that very lonely people tend to suffer from certain illnesses more frequently, and that is not good.
There is also the loneliness imposed by society, loneliness of thought or of attitudes. Sometimes, even when surrounded by people, we still feel alone. At times, ideas or opinions cannot be expressed freely, and that too is a kind of loneliness that Cubans, like others I suppose, feel very closely.
Sometimes I do need a bit of loneliness, it helps me, it is healthy and it calms me. Listening to my thoughts and making decisions.
Today the photos I share with you were taken around El Vedado, thinking a little about this theme. I hope you like them.

La soledad es mala consejera, decÃa mi abuelo en paz descanse, y tenÃa mucha razón. La soledad es buena para poner en orden las ideas, para reflexionar y trazar planes sin distracciones, para disfrutar de tiempo con uno mismo. Pero la ciencia ha podido demostrar que las personas muy solitarias tienden a padecer ciertas enfermedades con más frecuencia, y eso no es bueno.
También está la soledad que te impone la sociedad, soledad de pensamiento o de actitudes. En ocasiones, rodeados de personas, aun asà nos sentimos solos. A veces no se pueden expresar las ideas o las opiniones libremente y eso también es un tipo de soledad que a los cubanos, como a otros supongo, nos toca muy de cerca.
Yo a veces sà necesito un poco de soledad, me ayuda, es sana y me tranquiliza. Escuchar mis pensamientos y tomar decisiones.
Hoy las fotos que les comparto las hice por el Vedado, y un poco pensando en este tema. Espero les gusten.
