Greetings, community. Lovers of black and white photography.

Today I bring you a series of portraits I took a few days ago. It's about a musical group from the neighborhood that is trying hard to get ahead and succeed. They are all known in my community; some not so young, but still in the fight.

I would only put one but: the musical genre.

I must admit that I'm not a big fan of reggaeton, at least not the kind with rude lyrics. I think there are many ways to communicate, and unfortunately that unkind style is becoming more and more common. Anyway, I've always had a certain suspicion towards the musicians of that genre, and that's why it was very valuable for me to work with them for the first time.

The truth is that they are wonderful people. Nice young people, with a great desire to prosper and with a total dedication. The lyrics they shared with me are not rude at all; on the contrary, they are intelligent and very creative. Maybe that's why they have not prospered...

To sum up: I took some pictures of them and they are already using them in their networks. They were very satisfied, delighted with the results. I hope you like them too.

Hoy les traigo una serie de retratos que hice hace algunos días. Se trata de un grupo musical del barrio que está esforzándose mucho por salir adelante y tener éxito. Son todos conocidos de mi comunidad; algunos no tan jóvenes, pero aún en la pelea.

Solo pondría un pero: el género musical.

Debo reconocer que no soy muy amante del reguetón, al menos no del que tiene letras groseras. Creo que hay muchas formas de comunicarse, y lamentablemente ese estilo poco amable es cada vez más común. En fin, siempre he tenido cierto recelo hacia los músicos de ese género, y por eso fue muy valioso para mí trabajar con ellos por primera vez.

La verdad es que son personas maravillosas. Jóvenes amables, con muchas ganas de prosperar y con una entrega total. Las letras que me compartieron no son nada groseras; al contrario, son inteligentes y muy creativas. Tal vez por eso no han prosperado…

Para resumir: les hice algunas fotos y ya las están usando en sus redes. Quedaron muy satisfechos, encantados con los resultados. Ojalá a ustedes también les gusten.
