Greetings, Hivers.

Fishermen in Havana have been working along the coastline for decades, trying to catch the day’s dinner or something to sell. The most common sight is seeing them with lines and their colorful reels neatly arranged along the Malecón, but these fishermen were using a different technique. Watching them cast the nets was a true spectacle, a practice that, when executed with mastery, becomes hypnotic.

They actually made a good catch at that moment. There were several people waiting for them to finish so they could buy the fish, which were small but, according to their customers, very tasty. Of course, with the camera in hand, we spent quite some time trying to achieve the perfect shot, and several beautiful images came out of it. Today I share them with you and hope you like them as much as I enjoyed taking them. I read you.

Los pescadores de La Habana llevan décadas trabajando desde el litoral, tratando de capturar la cena del día o algo para vender. Lo más habitual es verlos con líneas y sus coloridos carretes ordenados en el Malecón, pero estos estaban usando otra técnica. Verlos lanzar las redes era todo un espectáculo, una práctica que cuando se ejecuta con maestría resulta hipnotizante.

La verdad es que hicieron una buena captura en ese momento. Había varias personas esperando a que terminaran para comprarles los peces, que eran pequeños pero, según sus clientes, muy sabrosos. Por supuesto, con la cámara en la mano estuvimos un buen rato tratando de lograr la toma perfecta y salieron varias imágenes hermosas. Hoy se las comparto y espero que les gusten tanto como a mí me gustó tomarlas. Los leo.
