Greetings, Black and White community.

When music is in your blood, there are no excuses: the notes come out, they escape, they impose themselves. This is Felipe, a pure-blooded musician, a native of Bejucal and a trumpet virtuoso. An instrument that, in his hands, shone like polished gold.

Felipe makes a living playing in the street, for a few coins. But boy, did he play! With a strength and dexterity that many would have wished for on important stages. Worthy of any professional group, there he is, giving us his art amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Those of us who saw him play were lucky. And hopefully someone with vision will listen to him and give him the place he deserves. Because talent like this should not stay on the sidewalk.

Cuando se lleva la música en la sangre, no hay excusas que valgan: las notas salen, se escapan, se imponen. Este es Felipe, músico de pura cepa, oriundo de Bejucal y virtuoso de la trompeta. Un instrumento que, en sus manos, brillaba como oro pulido.

Felipe se gana la vida tocando en la calle, por unas monedas. Pero ¡vaya si tocaba! Con una fuerza y una destreza que ya quisieran muchos en escenarios importantes. Digno de cualquier agrupación profesional, ahí está, regalándonos su arte entre el bullicio del día a día.

Quienes lo vimos tocar, tuvimos suerte. Y ojalá alguien con visión lo escuche y le ofrezca el lugar que merece. Porque talento así no debería quedarse en la acera.
