Greetings, Hivers of the Black and White community 🖤📷.

I hope you are all very well.

Ever since I was a child, it always caught my attention when on national television they showed those big crowds of people on the Malecón in Havana. It was something that fascinated me: that mix of people, music, sea and collective energy. A kind of social ritual where everyone seemed to find their space.

Today, many years later, as I walk with my camera along those same seafront walls, I try to capture not only the images, but also that spirit. Although times change, you can still feel that essence alive, that meeting point between generations, between laughter, hugs and lost thoughts looking at the horizon.

In this black and white series I wanted to reflect just that: the permanence of the soul of the Malecón, even as its faces change.

I hope these photos transmit to you a little of the nostalgia, curiosity and admiration that has been with me ever since. I read you!

Espero que todos estén muy bien.

Siempre me llamó la atención, desde pequeño, cuando en la televisión nacional mostraban esas grandes aglomeraciones de personas en el Malecón habanero. Era algo que me fascinaba: esa mezcla de pueblo, música, mar y energía colectiva. Una especie de ritual social donde todos parecían encontrar su espacio.

Hoy, muchos años después, al caminar con mi cámara por esos mismos muros frente al mar, trato de capturar no solo las imágenes, sino también ese espíritu. Aunque los tiempos cambian, todavía se siente esa esencia viva, ese punto de encuentro entre generaciones, entre risas, abrazos y pensamientos perdidos mirando al horizonte.

En esta serie en blanco y negro quise reflejar justamente eso: la permanencia del alma del Malecón, aunque sus rostros vayan cambiando.

Espero que estas fotos les transmitan un poco de esa nostalgia, curiosidad y admiración que me acompaña desde entonces. ¡Los leo!
