Many times I have seen the mailman on his bicycle, carrying his newspapers, delivering them around Havana’s Vedado. He is a very curious character, a bit grumpy but kind in the end. It was about time I dedicated a small photo series to him.
Most of the time I photograph people I will never get to know, but sometimes I wish I could stop, and I have done so on a few occasions, to learn a bit more about their story. It is as if the photographs were incomplete if they are not placed within the real context of the subject. But well, it is not always possible and sometimes it is not advisable. So we keep pressing the shutter and sharing street photography, which is what I truly love. Greetings to everyone and I hope you like today’s selection.

Varias veces he visto al cartero en su bicicleta, con sus periódicos a cuestas, repartiendo por el Vedado habanero. Es un personaje bien curioso, un poco cascarrabias pero amable al fin y al cabo. Ya era hora de que le dedicara una pequeña serie de fotos.
La mayoría de las veces fotografío personas que nunca voy a conocer, pero a veces quisiera detenerme, y lo he hecho en algunas ocasiones, para saber un poco más de su historia. Es como si las fotos estuvieran incompletas si no se ubican en el contexto real del modelo. Pero bueno, no siempre se puede y a veces es poco recomendable. Así que seguimos apretando el obturador y compartiendo fotografía callejera, que es lo que realmente amo. Saludos a todos y espero que les guste la selección de hoy.
