Greetings Hivers friends.

It is incredible the things photographers come to appreciate when we walk around searching for a target to shoot with our lens. I have found myself standing still for more than fifteen minutes waiting for a cloud to pass, for a ray of sunlight to hit exactly the way I imagine, or simply for the subject I am stalking to fall into a gesture that feels interesting to me.

Sometimes I photograph trash, but only when it conveys a message and not just because it exists. Details are also a fascinating exercise. Moving into tight frames within an action can reveal worlds that often go unnoticed at first glance.

Other times I go for wide shots, open scenes. Literally anything can become a photograph if it looks good first in my mind. That is when I press the shutter.

Today the photos I am sharing are about exactly that, about diversity, about looking without prejudice and finding images where others only see routine.

Es increíble las cosas que podemos llegar a apreciar los fotógrafos cuando caminamos buscando una diana para disparar el lente. Me he encontrado parado más de quince minutos esperando que una nube pase, que un rayo de sol ilumine justo como lo imagino o, sencillamente, que el sujeto que acecho adopte un gesto que me resulte interesante.

A veces fotografío la basura, pero solo cuando transmite algún mensaje y no por el simple hecho de que exista. Los detalles también son un ejercicio fascinante. Ir a encuadres cerrados dentro de una acción puede revelar mundos que a simple vista pasan desapercibidos.

Otras veces me voy al plano general, amplio, abierto. Literalmente cualquier cosa puede convertirse en fotografía si en mi cabeza se ve bien primero. Ahí es cuando disparo la cámara.

Hoy las fotos que les comparto van precisamente de eso, de diversidad, de mirar sin prejuicios y encontrar imágenes donde otros solo ven rutina.
