Greetings, friends of the black and white community.

Today I open a small series on folklore in Cuba. Walking down the street, I came across scenes that mix the religious, the popular and the magical. A doll surrounded by bills, looks and silence. You do not know if you are in front of an altar, a promise or a story that you were not told, but you feel the weight of faith and respect.

Further ahead, a man walking a San Lazaro and carrying two very cool puppies. Dressed in flour sack, torn and rough, a symbol of humility or penitence, depending on how you look at it. Everything seemed loaded with meaning. I didn't ask questions, I just took the photo with the care these scenes deserve. The shadows and the lights are there, as always. I hope you like it. Saludos, amigos de la comunidad blanco y negro.

Hoy abro una pequeña serie sobre el folclore en Cuba. Caminando por la calle, me crucé con escenas que mezclan lo religioso, lo popular y lo mágico. Una muñeca rodeada de billetes, miradas y silencio. No sabes si estás frente a un altar, una promesa o una historia que no te contaron, pero se siente el peso de la fe y el respeto.

Más adelante, un hombre paseando un San Lázaro y cargando dos perritos muy chulos. Vestido con saco de harina, roto y áspero, símbolo de humildad o penitencia, según se mire. Todo parecía cargado de significado. No hice preguntas, solo tomé la foto con el cuidado que merecen estas escenas. Las sombras y las luces están ahí, como siempre. Espero les guste. Los leo.
