There is a form of silent struggle in every day that begins. It needs no banners or speeches, just the body moving, surviving, doing. These images are just that: fragments of a life that goes on, despite everything.

Photographing in Cuba is sometimes an act of memory, sometimes of affection, sometimes of tiredness. The everyday becomes a symbol. And in each repeated gesture there is beauty, dignity and obstinacy. There is no need to escape from the simple to tell something profound.

This post does not seek answers or judgments. Just stop the look for a moment and give place to that which is sustained by force of habit, heart, and street.

Hay una forma de lucha silenciosa en cada día que empieza. No necesita pancartas ni discursos, solo el cuerpo moviéndose, sobreviviendo, haciendo. Estas imágenes son eso: fragmentos de una vida que sigue, a pesar de todo.
