Hello friends of the Black and White community.

This walk began with an unexpected image: the bust of Martí peeking from behind a wall, as if watching the city with quiet persistence. That gaze became the thread for the rest of the journey, guiding my eyes toward the ordinary and the forgotten.

Along the way, I encountered fragments of daily life that speak by themselves — small gestures, subtle details, and moments where the city reveals its contradictions. Some images are simple, others whisper about deeper realities. Without shouting, they remind us that behind every corner there are stories that belong to all of us.

Photography, in this case, becomes less about judgment and more about presence. Just like Martí’s silent gaze, it observes and preserves what passes, offering us the chance to look again, perhaps more slowly this time.

Este recorrido comenzó con una imagen inesperada: el busto de Martí asomándose detrás de un muro, como si vigilara la ciudad con una persistencia silenciosa. Esa mirada se convirtió en el hilo del resto del camino, guiando mis ojos hacia lo cotidiano y lo olvidado.

En el trayecto encontré fragmentos de la vida diaria que hablan por sí mismos — pequeños gestos, detalles sutiles y momentos en que la ciudad revela sus contradicciones. Algunas imágenes son simples, otras susurran sobre realidades más profundas. Sin gritar, recuerdan que detrás de cada esquina hay historias que nos pertenecen a todos.

La fotografía, en este caso, se vuelve menos juicio y más presencia. Como la mirada callada de Martí, observa y guarda lo que pasa, dándonos la oportunidad de mirar otra vez, quizá con más calma esta vez.
