There is something timeless about photographing at the beach. The sea has a way of simplifying everything: the wind, the salt in the air, the endless horizon. In black and white photography, all those elements become emotion and contrast instead of distraction. Light feels softer, skin gains texture, and every gesture seems more honest.

Today I want to share a small series of portraits of two young women during an afternoon by the shore. I tried to focus on natural expressions and the interaction between them and the landscape, letting the movement of the water and the breeze complete the images. Sometimes monochrome photography allows us to see beyond color and pay attention only to mood, light, and presence.

Hay algo atemporal en fotografiar en la playa. El mar tiene una manera de simplificarlo todo: el viento, la sal en el aire, el horizonte infinito. En fotografía en blanco y negro todos esos elementos se convierten en emoción y contraste en lugar de distracción. La luz parece más suave, la piel gana textura y cada gesto se siente más honesto.

Hoy quiero compartirles una pequeña serie de retratos de dos muchachas durante una tarde junto al mar. Traté de concentrarme en las expresiones naturales y en la interacción entre ellas y el paisaje, dejando que el movimiento del agua y la brisa completaran las imágenes. A veces la fotografía monocromática nos permite mirar más allá del color y prestar atención solamente al ambiente, la luz y la presencia.
