Today, Sunday, October 5, 2025, there wasn't much to do, but we always occupy our time with something. For example, cleaning the garden, which already had some plants that, thanks to the rains last September, had strengthened and grown quite a bit, so much so that I didn't hesitate to prune them. I'm not showing them in photos because I'm not a gardening specialist, but I try to do this job, which I respect as much as anyone else, as best as possible. I know everything must happen in its own time, but for me, it was necessary to do it. I finished when the first drops of rain were already beginning to fall. Judging by the sound of thunder, it seemed like it would be a big storm, but in the end, it was a short downpour with the sun's rays still out. This did inspire me to take some photos, which I'm sharing with you now.

Watching the water droplets fall and their motion stop in one image was spectacular. The rays of sunlight reflected off some of the plant leaves and others, like experienced jugglers, held the slippery, perfect little balls of water. It was time for lunch, and I decided to follow the call of such a pleasant moment. During this time, the rain stopped only to reorganize what would have been a heavy downpour, which ended up becoming an intense thunderstorm with loud thunder and lightning that crossed the sky at times and made my dog ​​cry in terror, unable to find shelter despite being inside the house.

Once this bad weather was over, I decided to go out to see if any trouble had occurred worth photographing in the surrounding area. I passed by the small park where the community children, and other not-so-children, spend time. Here are some images of its state.

Then I walked along the avenue and reached the bridge where you can see the old elevated train that supports the line, but which had already left by that time. I'm planning to take a photo with the train passing by this place, which is in serious need of maintenance. Below, in the stream, which was noticeably swollen, a group of fishermen could be seen taking advantage of the turbulent waters.

On my way back, I ran into some young men who, upon seeing the camera in my hand, decided to position themselves so I could capture them in a picture for posterity.

I walked quickly because it was starting to drizzle again, and I had no protection for my camera. The sky looked intensely gray, as if a heavy downpour was about to fall, but in the end, it didn't. I arrived home with no other intention than to sit down and write these few lines today.
