Catching The Mystery Bird

One day I went on a morning walk around the neighborhood and decided to take pictures of some of the flowers and animals I saw. Mexico really is so beautiful. What I didn't expect was to find a unique bird that would leave me thinking about it long after it was gone… more on that In a bit.

First I twisted through my neighborhood streets and got to the busy main road.

These bright red flowers with yellow tips were so pretty! I especially like the red whiskers sticking out of them!

I do wonder what the green pods hanging from the bush were.

Later, I saw flowers just like the red ones but a happy yellow color.

On a big bush I saw lots of pink leaves grouped together to look like a bouquet of flowers.

I turned the corner and was on the way back home. There's a grassy lot right on the corner full of trees, cacti and other tropical plants. On the way there I saw something colorful fly by me. There in the jungle patch, hiding in the trees was an exotic bird! Its body was ink black, but its wings were a vibrant blue! I'm so angry my pictures couldn't do it more justice! When it flew away, I was sad, until I saw more of them hiding amongst the plants! There had to have been at least three of those brightly colored birds!

The flowers were a nice find, but what really captured my attention was that brightly colored bird. It had to have been around 10 or 11 in the morning in that jungle patch where I found them. I want to see them again…and take better pictures!

Trees in flower always stunning to see, those fine leave close at night which makes them interesting when learning more about how they function.

Pity your bird photography did not reveal their true beauty, always difficult to capture them on the move on bright days.
