In July 2023, my job sent me to a surprising place called Pulau Langkawi in Malaysia. It's a small island 🗾 in the Kedah State, not only known for its beauty but also home to Radio Langkawi FM, owned by the government. ✈️ We visited Radio Langkawi FM to promote our product and to get to know the engineers there.

Radio Langkawi FM is vital to the local community because it serves as a source of news and information for the island. The radio station also plays a crucial role in preserving Langkawi culture and language. Additionally, Radio Langkawi FM provides a platform for local businesses and organizations to advertise their products and services.

My task was to visit this small radio station, which might be small but is important for the local community. The news about a possible budget for making it bigger showed that Langkawi is getting more popular as a holiday spot.🔊

😎Choosing Scenic Seas over Skies

Getting to Langkawi was an adventure in itself. I had the option to take a cheap flight from Subang Airport to Langkawi Airport or embark on a delightful boat trip from Kuala Kedah, which lasted about two hours. Opting for the boat, I relished the beautiful views as the island drew nearer

😎The Symbolic Spirit of Langkawi

When I got there, my first goal was to check out Dataran Lang, a famous place on the island. "Lang" means a big eagle🦅, and "Kawi" is a bright red color – a perfect name for this interesting place. The eagle, with its wings open wide, represented the spirit of Langkawi.

Luckily, my company paid for everything, so I could enjoy the beauty and culture of Langkawi without worrying about money. As I experienced the charm of the island, I started thinking about coming back with my family for a more relaxed trip to discover Langkawi's hidden treasures.👍😍
