The streets, houses, and gardens seem to compete in a friendly rivalry, showcasing an impressive array of colors. One particular surprise awaited me at my mother-in-law's home, where her love for plants transformed the rooftop into a botanical haven.

Aware of my current limitations because of my broken leg, she brought two pots of cosmos flowers to me, ensuring that the beauty of winter blossoms would not elude my healing gaze.
