Embracing the Rain: A Day of Serendipity with Simplicity.

The pitter-patter of raindrops, the scent of wet earth, and the lush greenery - a rainy day at our university campus is a unique blend of melancholy and refreshment.

It was one of those days when the heavens decided to bless us with a gentle shower, casting a serene veil over our beloved campus. The gray clouds hung low in the sky, and a sense of tranquility washed over me.

The campus seemed quieter as if it had taken a deep breath and paused to appreciate the beauty of the moment.

Hungry for some comfort food, I made my way to the campus cafeteria. There, I indulged in a mouthwatering sub-burger, its warmth and flavor the perfect antidote to the chilly rain.

Accompanying it was a plate of chicken shashlik, a spicy delight that added a zing to the day. And to balance out the flavors, I savored a glass of lassi - cool, creamy, and utterly satisfying.

The food only cost me around $2. Yes, campus food is cheap because it's for the students. Duh!

I preferred the chicken shashlik over the sub. The sub tastes like not-so-fresh. But it was okay. I mean, what else I would expect for less than $1!

With my stomach content, I decided to make the most of this rainy day. I leisurely stroll around the campus.

I marveled at how the raindrops danced on the leaves, turning every tree into a glistening masterpiece. The greens seemed to have taken on a new life, rejuvenated by the shower.
Later, I found a cozy spot under a tree, where the rain couldn't reach us directly. From my sheltered vantage point, I watched the world go by. Students hurried to and fro, some with books clutched tightly, others with a carefree spirit, splashing through puddles. The campus had transformed into a different world - one where deadlines and exams seemed distant, and the only thing that mattered was the present moment.
It sure reminded me of the old days when I used to pass the same time, doing the same stuff, in the same place. How times fly!
And now, I live a very different life, do very different things, and am happy about it.
It was a 'nothing-to-do' but 'good' kind of day for me- a day to appreciate the simple joys of life, the beauty in the ordinary. I realized that sometimes, it's the unplanned moments that leave the deepest impressions. In the end, as the rain began to taper off, I headed back to my home, feeling refreshed and grateful. The campus, on this rainy day, had revealed a different side of itself - one that was serene, contemplative, and beautifully melancholic.
So, here's to embracing the rain and finding magic in the ordinary. The university campus may have looked a little gloomy today, but it was a day etched in our memories as a reminder that sometimes, the best moments are unplanned ones, and the beauty of life lies in its simplicity.

I agree with you. And thanks a lot for showing interest and being so positive about life.
Have a good day.
The scenes after rain and during the rain are always awesome and if you get something to eat, the enjoyment of the moment increases. 2$ is nothing in front of the experience you had sitting in the rain.
Indeed, enjoying rain from a little far is something we can cherish for a long time. And food added some extra to the feeling.
Thanks.
even on a rainy day still beautiful
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
the sound of rain can be so relaxing and calming
Thanks for joining the Wednesday Walk :)
Eating during rainy days is one of the best things I love. It may be ordinary but it is something you can enjoy. I wish I had experienced the same as you before. ☺️
Yes, and probably the only thing we can enjoy when every other things get soaked by rain.
Thanks.
It's been a long time since I've visited my school. Your food looks so much better than ours. Most of my good memories from school are the ones I spent with my friends. We had a butterfly garden in our school. On rainy days, where it become cooler, we would spend time near the garden and just hang out and make jokes.
Thanks for sharing this post, it helped me reminisce about the good old days.
Butterfly garden sounds like an amazing place. I bet it's something the students cherish for a long time.
Thanks for your appreciation.
It seems anywhere it's raining. I love the food!
